Calling Features – Area 2

Caller ID – $7.95 per month

Caller ID lets you see the calling party's phone number before answering a call. A special display on or next to your phone is required for you to view the calling number. Caller ID can help you:

  • Determine who is calling before answering the phone.
  • Help eliminate harassing calls.
  • Store phone numbers of people who called, even while you were out, through your Caller ID device.

Instructions:

  1. Wait for the start of the second full ring of your phone set.
  2. The information of the calling party will automatically appear on your display.

Call Waiting-ID Plus - $7.95 per month

Includes Call Waiting and Call Waiting ID. Customer  must subscribe to Caller ID to qualify for this feature.

Call Forwarding – $3.50 per month

Plan to be gone from home for a while? Forward all of your home phone calls to another telephone number. The number of the telephone to which calls are to be forwarded can be entered into the memory system of the customer's telephone. The number can be changed or the feature cancelled by the customer at any time. Call Forwarding allows you to:

  • Receive important phone calls away from home.
  • Forward calls to cell phones or work phones.
  • Easily change the forwarded number or cancel the feature.

Instructions:

  1. To activate: press *72
  2. Wait four seconds for three bursts of dial tone.
  3. Enter the number where you want your calls forwarded, then you push # sign.
  4. If the number that you are forwarding to is a long distance call from your home you will need to enter the 1 and the area code. (The long distance charges will be billed to you for any toll minutes from your home phone to the forwarded number.)
  5. To deactivate: Press *73, wait for three tones and then hang up.

Three-Way Calling – $4.00 per month

Do you feel like you always seem to be relaying the same information between more than one person?
Save time with Three-Way Calling, by having a three-way conference call.

Instructions:

  1. Dial the first number and ask that person to hold.
  2. Depress and release the hook-switch and listen for three bursts of dial tone followed by a steady dial tone.
  3. Dial the second number. When this party answers, you can talk privately, until you are ready to establish the conference call connection. When ready, establish Three-Way Calling by depressing and releasing the hook-switch.

Call Return – $4.00 per month

Oops-missed a call? Call Return allows you to dial a code to have a call automatically returned to the last party who called or attempted to call you.

Instructions:

  1. Press *69
  2. Listen for an announcement that will tell you the phone number of the last person that called.
  3. If you wish to return the call, press 1. If you do not wish to return the call, hang up.

To cancel Call Return: Press *89

Speed Dialing – 8/numbers: $3.50 per month

Wish to be speedier with those numbers that you call the most? Make a call with the touch of one or two buttons! Speed Dialing lets you store eight or thirty frequently called local and long distance numbers.

Instructions:

  1. Press*74
  2. Press 2 then the telephone number you want assigned to the number 2. Press # sign and wait for the tone. Follow this procedure for all eight numbers. Starting with number 2 and ending with number 9 If programming in long distance numbers, please remember to include the 1 and the area code.

Call Waiting – $5.25 per month

With Call Waiting, if you are already talking on the telephone and someone else is trying to call your number, you will hear a tone which indicates that someone is trying to call you. Call Waiting allows you to:

  • No longer miss important phone calls.
  • Answer an incoming call and talk privately.
  • Alternate talking between two parties.

Instructions:

  1. When you are notified of the incoming call by a call waiting alert tone, depress and release the hook-switch to put the original party on hold. You are then connected to the other calling party. To alternate between parties, depress and release the hook-switch once for each transfer.

Signal Ring – $4.00 per month

There are certain people who take priority in your life and when they call, you want to know. Select up to six specified telephone numbers that will have a distinctive ring. If you have Call Waiting, you will hear a distinctive Call Waiting tone whenever someone on your list calls while you are on the phone.

Instructions:

  1. Press *67
  2. Listen to the voice instructions.

Repeat Dialing – $2.00/month

Do you ever wonder how people win those radio contests? With Repeat Dialing, you won't wear out your fingers dialing, it does all the work for you. Repeat Dialing allows you to dial a code to have your phone continuously attempt to redial a busy number that you tried to call. When the line is free, you will be alerted with a special ringing, and a call will automatically be made.

Instructions:

  1. Hang up, then lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press *66
  3. Listen for three beeps or an announcement telling you the number is busy. Hang up. You will hear a short-short -long ring when the line is free.
  4. Your call will automatically be made when you lift the handset.

To cancel Repeat Dialing:

  1. Press *86 and listen for tone/announcement.

Notes: While Repeat Dialing is activated, you may still make and receive other calls. Repeat Dialing will continuously attempt to call back a busy number for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, your request will be cancelled. You can use for more than one busy number at a time. If the number you are trying to reach is outside the Repeat Dialing area, you will hear a recording advising you that the call cannot be made.

Caller Number Block – $2.00 per month

Caller Number Block enables you to block your telephone number from being transmitted to the called party's caller ID equipment.
