Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) Returns
At Rainbow Communications request upon an account default or early termination, the customer will return CPE (digital boxes, modems, wireless routers) that was furnished to the customers during the initial installation to Rainbow Communications, unless otherwise directed by Rainbow Communications. CPE will be in the same condition and operating level as existed when received, ordinary wear and tear excepted. Customer may drop off equipment at any of the company business office locations or schedule CPE to be picked up at the time of service termination. CPE not immediately returned to Rainbow Communications will be billed to the customer.
Rainbow Bundle Service Packages
Bundle prices do not include Federal and State Universal Charges, 911 Fees or Taxes. To qualify for a Rainbow Bundled Service Package customer must subscribe to one of Rainbow Communications' Bundle Long Distance Plans. Bundles not available in all areas.

According to the federal regulations, a customer is responsible for cable wires, fittings telephone wiring and jacks inside the customer premise. The service provider is responsible for the wiring from the network to the point of demarcation. If the customer chooses not to participate in the maintenance plan, a labor rate of $78 per hour will be billed in quarter-hour increments for the time it takes to resolve the problem and a trip charge will be assessed.
Safeguard & Safeguard Plus Maintenance Plan
Both Safeguard & Safeguard Plus include repair service to all existing telephone and network wiring inside the home that runs from the Network Interface Device (NID) to the wall outlet. This includes the telephone jack, existing cable and phone jacks, and all other existing extensions for the same phone number located within the same structure due to normal wear and tear, and or damage due to lightning. Both maintenance plans cover cost of trip and labor fees for trouble-shooting problems caused by customer premise equipment. In addition to the coverage listed above Safeguard Plus plan covers replacement of Rainbow Communications installed equipment such as cable modems and DSL equipment due to normal wear and tear, and or damage due to lightning. Both Safeguard & Safeguard Plus do not cover repair to any customer premise equipment including but not limited to telephones, television sets, computers, fax machines, answering machines, dial-up modems, home entertainment systems, stereo equipment, video game systems, customer networking equipment, TV/VCR/DVD or digital box system issues, and any other complex wires that connect devices together to the wall outlet.
Phone Service
Rainbow Long Distance Plan
Minutes used over 500 minutes on the Rainbow 500 plan will be billed at $0.07/minute. Unlimited long distance applies only to residential domestic direct dialed voice calls anywhere inside the United States. Unlimited long distance may not be used to place calls to on-line data services or Internet access providers, including fax machines. Unlimited long distance plan does not include charges incurred for calling card services, operator assisted calls, collect calls, calls to 900 numbers, directory assistance or operator services. If Rainbow Communications determines that long distance usage is not consistent with typical residential customer usage (over 2000 minutes), the customer may be subject to disconnection of this service or offered an alternative long distance plan at Rainbow Communications discretion. Calls not included in this plan are billed at tariff rates located in the Rainbow Communications tariff. Long distance may be denied based on a current credit report.
Internet Service
12 Month Contract–Terms of Agreement
The agreement shall begin on the signed date and shall continue for a period of twelve (12) months. Thereafter, the agreement shall be automatically renewed from year to year on the anniversary date for additional one (1) year term. A fee of $100.00 will be charged for early termination if customer disconnects within the first twelve (12) months of service.
High Speed Internet
Services may not be available in all areas. Performance may vary due to conditions outside of network control. No minimum level of speed is guaranteed. Conditions affecting speed may include customer location, physical equipment limitations, network congestion, server or router speeds of websites accessed or inside wiring or telephone conditions.
Rainbow Communications Internet Acceptable Use Policy
We require each Rainbow Communications customer to agree to our Acceptable Use Policy. The policy outlines the terms and conditions our customers must agree to in order to receive service from Rainbow Communications. The policy is easily accessible from our Home Page, (www.rainbowtel.net) by clicking on the link "Acceptable Use Policy" which is located on the site menu. Hard copies are available upon request.
