Paper Bag Jellyfish

Supplies Needed:

  • Brown paper bags
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue
  • Paint
  • Paint brushes
  • Glitter glue
  • Scissors
  • Paper plate

Directions:

  1. Squirt paint on the paper plate.
  2. Begin painting one side of the paper bag.
  3. Use the glitter glue and make the jellyfish sparkly.
  4. Let dry.
  5. Cut the open end of the bag in small sections almost to the creased part of the bag.
  6. Adhere the googly eyes on the top of the creased bag with glue.
  7. Let dry.
  8. Name your jellyfish!

Paper Plate Seashell

Supplies Needed:

  • Paper plate
  • Scissors
  • Crayons
  • Water colors

Directions:

  1. Cut the paper plate to look like a seashell.
  2. Draw straight lines going up and down on the seashell with crayons.
  3. Water color over the entire paper plate.
  4. Let dry.
  5. Hang proudly on the fridge!

Tide Pool Sensory Bin

Supplies Needed:

  • Throw away aluminum foil dish pan or plastic bin
  • Sand
  • Rocks in stones in various colors and sizes
  • Mini toy sea creatures
  • Water

Directions:

  1. Fill bottom of pan with thin layer of sand.
  2. Arrange rocks in varying levels in pan.
  3. Place mini animals in various spots in tide pool.
  4. Add water.
  5. Play in the tide pool!

Ocean In A Bottle

Supplies Needed:

  • Empty clear plastic bottle
  • Clear oil (vegetable oil, baby oil, etc)
  • Water
  • Funnel
  • Blue food coloring
  • Small sea creatures
  • Glitter
  • Glue
  • Hot glue (optional)

Directions:

  1. Fill water bottle halfway up with water.
  2. Add a few drops of blue food coloring and swirl.
  3. Sprinkle in some glitter.
  4. Add sea creatures.
  5. Using the funnel, fill remainder of bottle with oil.
  6. Dry the seal and cap of water bottle.
  7. Adhere cap to bottle with glue.
  8. For adding protection, put a layer of hot glue on the edge of the cap.
  9. Create waves with your ocean!
