Paintsicles

Supplies Needed:

  • Ice cube tray
  • Squirt bottle
  • Toothpicks/popsicle sticks
  • Food coloring
  • Water
  • Plastic wrap
  • Paper

Directions:

  1. Fill squirt bottle with water.
  2. Add a few drops of food coloring to each section of the ice cube tray.
  3. Squirt water into each section of the ice cube tray.
  4. Cover ice cube tray with plastic wrap.
  5. Stick toothpicks in the section of each section of the ice cube tray.
  6. Place the ice cube tray in the freezer until the ice is frozen.
  7. Take ice cube tray and paper outside and begin painting.
  8. Allow for the painting to dry.
  9. Hang proudly on your fridge!

Dinosaur Eggs

Supplies Needed:

  • Plastic container
  • Water
  • Balloons
  • Mini dinosaurs
  • Eye dropper/Turkey baster (optional)

Directions:

  1. Blow up a balloon and stretch it out. (do not tie off)
  2. Stretch open the top of the balloon and insert a dinosaur into the balloon.
  3. Fill the balloon with water.
  4. Tie up balloon.
  5. Stick balloon in plastic container.
  6. Place container in freezer.
  7. Allow to completely freeze.
  8. Remove from freezer.
  9. Cut off the balloon knot and peel balloon off.

Now, you can either keep them in the bin to see how long it takes each one to “hatch” or you can fill your eye dropper/turkey baster with warm water and hatch each egg.
